Vintage Christian Lacroix Ivory Silk Vivid Floral Lace Sleeveless Gown
Known for his opulent and theatrical designs, French designer Christian Lacroix launched his first Haute Couture collection in 1987. Drawing inspiration from history and folklore, his debut collection continues to resonate with contemporary artists. Named the “king of color” by Vogue in 1990, he often created striking color palettes that made his designs even more remarkable. Lacroix served as creative director for Pucci from 2002-2005, designed costumes for the Paris Opera Ballet, and notably partnered with Dries Van Noten in 2019 to critical acclaim.
From the 1990’s, this enchanting silk gown is a fine example of Lacroix’s craftsmanship and eye for beauty. Done in a warm ivory silk featuring a floral print in pastel tones, this dress is feminine and sophisticated at once. The sleeveless gown begins with spaghetti straps and plunging V neckline. A warm ivory lace at the right shoulder adds a magnificent dramatic element that creates the illusion of a cap sleeve when viewed from the side.

The fitted dress falls to a maxi-length at the ankles in a dainty high low hem that finishes in a soft point at the back of the dress. The perfect choice for a summer wedding or special occasion, this delightful silk and lace gown is a lighthearted ode to joy that is meant to be seen.
