Sonia Rykiel Black and White Star Printed Drawstring Jumpsuit, 2015
Sonia Rykiel was a French born designer who entered the design world in 1962 through pioneering stylish garments that were a balance of formfitting and relaxed comfort that could be worn on virtually any body type. Declared the “queen of knits” by Women’s Wear Daily, Rykiel’s aesthetic has been highly praised as a distinct look for women being featured in various publications and museums internationally.
The 2015 pre-fall collection evokes a modern take on the Rykiel woman and can be seen worn by American screenwriter, director and producer Sofia Coppola on a 2016 red carpet. Made from an incredibly comfortable silky viscose jersey, this Rykiel jumpsuit is upbeat and easy to wear. Covered in a microprinted white star pattern on a black ground, this jumpsuit has a loosely fitting bodice that blouses around the drawstring waist line.
The dropped armholes allow for an ease of motion, as does the dropped crotch and straight leg silhouette of the pants portion. This jumpsuit has a three-quarter sleeve and convertible collar; a perfect option for the woman on the go who needs a go-to look that is fast, fabulous, and functional.
Size estimate: Size: 38
Bust: 36 inches
Waist: 26- 36 inches

On the bodice, there are two chest patch pockets and slanted side pockets on as well as two back welt pockets on the pants. The top closes at centre front with buttons from neck to waist while the waist is fitted with a drawstring allowing the wearer to step right into the jumpsuit.
