Italian luxury brand Prada has made a mark with their refined styles and classic reinventions. However, the namesake designer Miuccia Prada is no stranger to considering creative twists. Stating that this collection was all about working from a “new inspiration”, Prada unlocks a mystical wonderland in her Spring 2008 Fairy Collection by employing curvilinear lines, delicate details, and fantastical yet demure tonal colors.

Featured in the opening look on the runway that season this emerald silk twill top features a motif designed by Taiwanese artist, James Jean of fairies serenely amongst flowers with a cityscape in the distance. This Prada top carries with it a demure, magical aura. Black bias bound edges provide contrast for the tunic, and untraditional squiggle-edged double-breasted front closure that emphasizes organic line.

The short sleeves of the tunic also feature this black binding detail as arches are cut away from the sleeve to repeat the curvilinear detailing.
