Prada Brown Leather Shorts, 2009
In an almost post-apocalyptic style, the Fall 2009 Prada collection was all about rough-and-tumble textures with a no-nonsense linearity. Marked by neutral tones and pops of red, Prada showcased an earthy color story that has a well accomplished fierceness.
Done in a tobacco leather, these high-waisted shorts have a dart detail, with eight on the front and 8 on the back. This gives these shorts an almost armor-like volume. Finishing at the thigh, these shorts are cut asymmetrically forming a shallow V-shape from center front to the hip. Seen on the runway in a boiled wool variation (looks #5 and #24), these shorts can be worn alone or layered over a pair of legging for an edgy aesthetic.
Waist: 26 inches
Fully lined in a matching brown fabric, these Prada shorts close at center back with an invisible zip and are in new condition with the original tags attached. High-quality vintage pieces like this are yours to live in and love while increasing in value every year. It’s never too soon to start collecting them, as an investment in your wardrobe—and in yourself.
