Prada Blue Heart Ruched Top and Skirt Ensemble S/S 2000

The Spring 2000 collection was one of Prada’s most iconic runways. Filled with flirty designs with graphic prints, this collection introduced a series of fun and functional styles that can almost be said to be timeless. Done in a lightly textured chiffon covered in lapis blue hearts.

The top begins with a wide V-neckline that finishes right at the bust with a laced detail overlaid on a navy chiffon modesty panel. From an empire waist with raw-edge details, the top has been vertically tucked and ruched to create a soft, flattering hourglass silhouette. On the back a deep V-neckline plays off of the edge of the split front top, adding an extra bit of drama.

The matching skirt rests promptly on the waist and begins with the same ruching and tucks that release at hip level. The skirt flounces gently down to an irregular hem with a slight flair. When worn together, this ensemble appears seamlessly as a dress, but of course each piece can be worn separately. This Prada ensemble is not only light and airy but perfectly on trend with Prada reintroducing this blue-heart print as recently as their Resort 2020 line.

The top secures with the drawstring lace in the front but also has a concealed zip at centre back. The skirt is double layered and also closes with a concealed zip at centre back. In excellent condition, this ensemble has been professionally eco dry cleaned and pressed.
