Prada Black Silk baby Doll Top Runway Spring 2010

For decades, fashion has been inspired by contradictions: hard and soft or East meets West. For Prada, the Spring 2010 collection took on something a little more unique by creating a “business to beach” line that definitely showcased equal parts work and play. This garment can double as a mini dress or a baby-doll blouse. It is done in a black, textured sheer silk with satin accents.

From the satin standing collar, the sleeveless sheer bib moves into a crescent shaped section covering the bust. Just beneath, an empire waist line blossoms into a mini baby doll peplum with a center slit. On the back, there is a deep keyhole down the back and sheer tails that drape from the waist.

This mini dress can easily be paired with a pair of briefs underneath to create a sexy and vivacious look or it can be worn as a top with a bodysuit or pair of fitted pants for a more modest appeal. It can be seen in the featured images as look #22 from that season’s runway.
