Nina Ricci Boutique Fruit and Dots Multicolor Print Silk Organza Dress, 1970s

Pop Art meets pretty in this vintage Nina Ricci Boutique dress. Cut from an absolutely delicious print of Ben-Day dots, graphic fruits and romantic flowers in a riot of sumptuous hues, it references all the best of Roy Lichtenstein, Marimekko and the Swinging Sixties era from which it emerged. With plenty of white in the silk organza background, it still retains a clean modernity and elegance that are hallmarks of this Parisian house.

The silhouette is richly appointed with green trim at the open collar, button-front placket, short dolman sleeves and hem. Silk-covered buttons close the fitted bodice. The skirt, with gentle gathers at the waistline, falls gracefully to the ankles. Just in time for spring, this piece begs to be worn at an event with an audience to appreciate the entrance it is bound to make.
