Miu Miu Runway Lucite Painted Choker Necklace, 2014

Named after the notorious Miuccia Prada herself, Miu Miu is a women’s luxury brand that sets trends and interprets fashion in a more contemporary and youthful way. The Spring 2014 Miu Miu collection was something of a mashup between 60s, 70s, and 80s style offering the best of bright color, oversized silhouettes, and of course lucite.

From that collection, this clear Miu Miu choker has been painted with a floral motif with pale tones of yellow, purple, orange, green, and blue. The tones create a translucent watercolor effect as the motifs of leaves dance around the curved lucite. Paired nicely with a compilation of color or as a subtle accent, this lucite necklace has a vintage charm and can be seen to the left on the runway and on Lupita Nyong’o in a spread for the brand.
