Earl Pardon Sterling Silver 14K Gold Enamel & Gem-Set Modernist Brooch

Earl Pardon (1926–1991) was a pioneering figure in the postwar American studio-jewelry movement. Trained as a painter and sculptor, he approached jewelry as miniature wearable art and referred to his pieces as “portable works of art.” His distinctive work combines painterly enamel, sculptural metalwork and precious materials, and is represented in major museum collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

This striking modernist brooch is crafted in sterling silver and 14K gold with colorful enamel and faceted gemstones.

The curved central panel features an abstract geometric composition in red, white, black, turquoise, orange and gold. Its textured, asymmetrical silver frame is accented with raised gold details and three bezel-set gemstones: a pink sapphire, citrine and aquamarine.

Completed with a locking pin stem. Signed Pardon, stamped STERLING 14K.
