Courrèges Black Wool & Chiffon Sequin Zip Mod Mini Dress
Like many of his contemporaries, André Courrèges was a fashion pioneer. With designs that redefined femininity, Courrèges shortened hemlines and played with shocking sheer fabrics to introduce truly unpredictable styles.
This 1960s style mini dress is done in a jet-black wool with insets of chiffon that create a horizontal stripe pattern going down the dress. On the wool portions, the strips have been embellished with hundreds of black sequins adding a glossy texture to the design.
With a ballet neckline and youthful cap sleeves, this dress has a softly nipped waist that flares into mid-thigh A-line hem. At the hips, two plain wool patch pockets have been added giving this dress an even more jovial feel. This dress is both fun and fetching as a quirky little black dress option or as an easy to wear daywear garment.
