Chloé Karl Lagerfeld Brushstroke Figural Print Painted Buttons Blazer, 1996

$1,500

The Chloé brand reflects a certain aura of softness and gentility that tends to always be present in the design whether by use of flowing fabrics or whimsical prints. While the designs have struck a balance between the modern and traditional, the Lagerfeld era of Chloé sedimented a more modern appeal especially during his second term directing the house.

From the Spring 1996 collection, the sleek yet charming aesthetic of the collection is reflected through this Chloé blazer done in a classic style: accented waist, notch lapel, and a smooth, rounded hemline. Made from cotton, the blazer depicts abstract paintings of women in dresses of pale green, yellow, cerise, and sky blue and has the Chloé signature throughout. Scribbles of deep black fill in the space around them.

This print works wonderfully with the slightly widened neckline and soft curves of the blazer while contrasting the sharp lapels and broad shoulders. Classic and sleek, this blazer boasts a fun print and functional fabrication that can be worn today and for years to come in the office or for an outing.
