2008 Prada Runway Fairy Collection Silk Cut Out Tunic Blouse
Italian luxury brand Prada has made a mark with their refined styles and classic reinventions. However, the namesake designer Miuccia Prada is no stranger to considering creative twists. Stating that this collection was all about working from a “new inspiration”, Prada unlocks a mystical wonderland in her Spring 2008 Fairy Collection by employing curvilinear lines, delicate details, and fantastical yet demure tonal colors.
As seen as look number fifteen from the collection, this sheer tunic incorporates a plaid pattern in tones of red and orange. Black bias bound edges provide contrast for the tunic at the scooped front that creates something of a cutout when the standing collar is fastened.
This tunic has an untraditional squiggle-edged double-breasted front closure that emphasizes organic line. The short sleeves of the tunic also feature this black binding detail as arches are cut away from the sleeve to repeat the curvilinear detailing. Staying true to Prada’s sense of fit, this tunic if fitted around the bust and has a straight silhouette through the sides that flares at the hemline that falls around the hip.
Please note Prada sizing runs small, so refer to the measurements.

This 2008 sheer Prada tunic is unlined but comes with a separate pink camisole to wear underneath. The neck band and the front closure fastened with hand sewn covered snaps that continue down the edge of the front panel. This allows for some adjustment to where this tunic begins to flare. It is in excellent condition and professionally cleaned and pressed. High-quality vintage pieces like this are yours to live in and love while increasing in value every year.
