1994 Chanel S/S Runway Pastel Green Plaid Boucle Bralette Top w/ Tags Documented
The Chanel boucle fabric is the quintessential maker of the brand. Generally being featured on the iconic Chanel jackets each season, the signature boucle has come to be found on a variety of garments across the line. Incorporating different colors, patterns, and at times metallic flicks, the Chanel boucle is a classic yet ever-modern design statement.
This spring/summer 1994 Chanel bra top of pastel green with a black and crème plaid pattern is excellently representative of the boucle being used from a trendy approach. The bralette is cropped rather highly under the bust and the top is shaped into a plunging V-neckline. Two straps secure the top from the shoulders. From the front, the bra slopes gently into the back where it is fastened at the center with two green embossed buttons with the gold interlocking “CC” logo.
On the 1994 runway, this piece was paired with a high-waisted mini skirt and Chanel blazer all in matching green plaid boucle. This piece makes for a perfect summer look with its vibrant color and will add a much-needed textural element.
