1970s Bill Tice Turquoise & Gold Gathered Jersey Dolman Sleeve Top & Pants Set

$800

Bill Tice’s designs are not the typical couture gowns or latest in ready-to-wear trends; however, Tice’s contributions to fashion are in the loungewear and lingerie market. Tice was prominent in the 1970s-1980s for his comfortably made pleated caftans and jersey ensembles. An American designer, Tice was focused on the comfortability and the ease of wear of his garments. This ca. 1970s Bill Tice ensemble features a heavily gathered electric turquoise V-neck top as well as a draped pant.

The shirt incorporates dolman sleeves that provide a loose fluid fit around the arms just as with the rest of the garment. At the shoulders the turquoise jersey is gathered into a yoke that features a curvilinear, gold embroidery design that circles around the back neckline. The pants fall to the ankle and drape fluidly throughout the leg. This set also comes with a sash made from the same turquoise jersey. Comfortable and cozy, this ensemble evokes the 1960s hosting pajama trend. Stylishness in the home is no less important that style outside of it!
