1960s Vintage Moroccan Pink Silver Metallic Sleeveless Caftan Dress

$0
After seeing the centuries-old silhouette for the first time on a trip to Morocco, Vogue editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland returned to the U.S. calling the caftan “the most becoming fashion ever invented.” True to that proclamation is this exquisite vintage one from around her era.

Crafted from an unbelievably gorgeous lightweight pink and silver lamé fabric, it shimmers all over. A passementerie of the same colors trims the armholes, slide slits, neckline and center front, which closes impeccably with a hundred fabric loops and fabric-covered ball buttons. Fully lined in pink rayon, the sleeveless design is loose fitting and flares to the ankles, making it—as it should be—ideal for the warm weather.
